2024 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance
Saturday April 13th at 9:00 a.m.
On Saturday, April 13, Virginia Tech’s annual 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance will be hosted on the Blacksburg campus as the community remembers the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us in 2007.
All in-person and virtual participants are encouraged to register to receive important event inormation.
Event t-shirts are available for purchase at cost with shipping and in-person pickup options.
Participants who wish to pick up their shirt in person or guarantee that their shirt is shipped in time for the event should purchase by Mar. 22, 2024. T-shirts can still be purchased and shipped after Mar. 22 but will not be guaranteed to arrive in time for the event.

Participants who ordered shirts for in-person pick up can get their shirts Friday evening or Saturday morning. If you are local, please consider coming on Friday.
Friday pick up: 4:00-8:00pm at Squires commonwealth Ballroom
You can park, free of charge, in the Squires or Annex lot. Please be mindful to avoid ADA and service spots and make sure you are in a true parking spot.
Saturday Pick Up: 7:30-8:45am at Squires Commonwealth Ballroom
You can park free of charge in the Squires or Annex lot.
Shirts will not be available for sale the day of the event. However, you can still purchase shirts through April 15 online and have them shipped to your home using this website.
NO Event Check-in:
Since this run/walk is not a timed event, there is no official check-in needed. If you do not have a shirt to pick-up, you can simply park and make your way to the start line in front of Patton Hall on Drillfield Dr.
This event is made possible with the help of many volunteers! Roles include check-in, balloon setup, route marshals, and finish line assistance.
The event’s 3.2-mile loop around the Blacksburg campus begins in front of Patton Hall, near Burruss Hall and passes by landmarks such the Grove, Lane Stadium, and the Virginia Tech Pylons, and ends at the April 16 Memorial.
Commemorative run bibs will be available at the in-person t-shirt pick-up area or you can print your own. Bibs are not required to participate.
