Women in the Weight Room Meet-Ups
It's no secret that women are more likely to feel uncomfortable in the weight room setting. In an effort to help women feel included, comfortable, and knowledgeable about weightlifting, we're excited to announce a regular "Women in the Weight Room Meet-Up" timeslot in McComas for the spring semester.
These one-hour sessions are free for students and employees with a Rec Sports membership and are intended to increase women's comfort in the weight room. Female personal trainers will be present to share tips on lifting technique. They will also have a weekly workout participants can use if they want!
Sessions begin February 2 and will be from 7-8 p.m. in the lower weight room near the locker rooms in McComas Hall. Sessions occur weekly on Wednesday evenings. No registration needed ahead of time!
