Saturday, August 14- Saturday, August 28

Disc Golf Welcome Week

Virginia Tech Recreational Sports is hosting a Welcome Week Disc Golf Event from August 14 until August 28. Students can play the course anytime from dawn until dusk and submit their scorecard when they are done for a chance to win prizes. Scorecards and the dropbox are located next to the course map near the golf course clubhouse. Prize winners will be notified via email after the event.

 

Saturday, August 14

Open Gym at Field House: 6PM -10PM

Open recreation is available at the Rec Sports Field House. Come check out the weight room or play a pick-up game of basketball, volleyball, or pickleball.

 

Sunday, August 15

Open Gym at Field House: 6PM - 10PM 

Open recreation is available at the Rec Sports Field House. Come check out the weight room or play a pick-up game of basketball, volleyball, or pickleball.

 

Monday, August 16

Yoga at McComas Studios A & B  7PM

Join Rec Sports on the Prairie Quad for a 1 hour VT fitness instructor-led outdoor yoga session. Bring your own mat or towel. They aren’t required but also won’t be provided. Attending also gives participants a chance to win a VT yoga mat.

Open Hours at McComas and the Rec Sports Field House: 6PM - 10PM

RHF Cookout at the Rec Sports Field House: 5PM - 7PM

RecFest: 5PM - 8PM

Come to the SRA Fields and hang out with VT Rec Sports. Meet our Sport Club teams, meet our intramural staff, climb on the Venture Out Bouldering Wall, play yard games, jump on bungee trampolines, ride the mechanical bull, and much more!  Free RecFest t-shirts to the first 1,000 students to attend.

 

Saturday, August 21

Normal hours begin at McComas

HIIT on the SRA Lower Fields: 10AM

Join Rec Sports on the SRA Lower fields for an energetic, outdoor, Fitness led HIIT workout!

 

Sunday, August 22

Running Club Run: 9AM

Join the VT Running Club for a social, no drop run on the Huckleberry trail. Several distance options will be available and runners from the club will lead groups on an out and back run. Runs begin and end at the SRA Lower Fields/Field House on Beamer Way.

Challenge Course Open Rec: Noon - 4PM

Join Venture Out on the Challenge Course for an afternoon of high ropes adventure. Register here.

 

Monday, August 23

Group Exercise Classes begin- Free Week of Fitness!

Sunrise Yoga with Venture Out
